We are the
Cumbria Talent Force

One of the key programmes delivered by Enterprising Cumbria is the Cumbria Careers Hub Programme and the Cumbria Talent Force is a project that will support the aims and objectives of the Careers Hub Programme.

Enterprising Cumbria is a recently established body working to boost economic development across the county of Cumbria, supported by our two local authorities Cumberland Council and Westmorland & Furness Council.

Enterprising Cumbria is at the forefront of activities to drive forward our regional economy, working to support the objectives of our local authorities, businesses and local people, to make sure that Cumbria is seen as a great place to live and work.

Who manages the Cumbria Talent Force?

We have a remit to provide the voice of the business community and take a lead on strategic activity to keep our businesses on the front foot and ensure that we grow our economy and the prosperity of all who live and work in our county.

We also deliver programmes of activity which will help us achieve our strategic aims, whether they be business support activities to help our business community innovate and grow; or skills activities to help upskill our current workforce or ensure an enthusiastic and ambitious workforce of tomorrow.

Cumbria Careers Hub

Cumbria Careers Hub is working to ensure every young person receives outstanding, relevant careers education throughout their time at school and college.

As a Community of Practice, we bring together secondary schools, Special Schools and colleges with local employers and support them to deliver high quality, inspirational careers advice to students.

Cumbria Careers Hub is made up of 49 secondary schools and 4 colleges across the County, including 9 Special Educational Needs providers, Alternative Provision and Pupil Referral Units. Working together with our local Enterprise Adviser Network, Cornerstone Employers, universities, training providers, local businesses and career professionals, the Careers Hub supports the schools and colleges in achieving the Gatsby Benchmarks, a framework of eight guidelines that define the best careers provision in secondary schools and colleges.
